This course of lectures addresses expert knowledge in the fields of energy-efficient construction and renewable energy sources, with regard to the aspects of energy monitoring and effects on indoor climate. In the scope of energy monitoring, the students will learn more about metrological concepts and technical solutions to assess and evaluate thermal, hygrothermal, and energy-specific characteristics of the building envelope, the building’s technical installations, as well as data related to user behavior. The lecture course draws on practical examples concerning – among other things – the monitoring of buildings in operation, the detection of thermal bridges, the high potential of operational improvements within am existing infrastructure.

Lecturer: Christoph van Treeck
